Dumebi and Justin, living in Amsterdam, were already officially married in both The Netherlands and Nigeria. However, they still wanted to have their church ceremony to state their vows and make their marriage complete. And then of course, a pandemic hit. After postponing three times, they eventually picked a date and said, “That’s it. That is the day we will have our church wedding and it will happen then no matter what.” And we made sure that happened.

There were elements were had to implement for the safety of everyone; face masks, a limited guest count, social distancing, and separate dining tables. It was untraditional, but still very intimate, cosy, and so special to bring people together in a time of uncertainty. The bride and groom shared their thoughts with us afterwards, feeling happy and grateful, “It will definitely be a day remembered by us and those who could attend.”
